With the fall beginning to roll around; these are going to be your new go-to treat, for your family.
Just don't expect them to hang around for long...

2 cups flour
1 tbsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 cup of butter at room temperature
1/1/4 cups sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup canned pumpkin puree
1 pkg. semi-sweet choc. chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In medium bowl, whisk together flour, pie spice, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
With an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar on medium high until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla until combined. Beat in pumpkin puree and gradually pour in the dry ingredients and mix to combine. Stir in the chocolate chips. Pour into your prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes or until you pierce with a toothpick in the center of the bars and it comes out clean.
Cut into bars and serve!
